Foundation golf outing sets record
BUTLER TWP — The Butler County Community College Education Foundation’s 18th annual golf outing raised $82,000, the highest amount in the history of the event.
It was held Aug. 23 at Olde Stonewall Golf Course in Ellwood City.
The title sponsor was Farmers National Bank with additional support from 40 businesses. All golfers received golf shirts by Future POS.
The outing hosted 117 golfers. The first place team was Jack Borros, John Hooke, Ray Lassinger and Jim Kopac. The second place team was Ron Vodenichar, Mike Brady, Sal Genilla and Ken Fair.
Cheryl Cranmer made the woman’s longest drive, and John Aubrey made the men’s longest drive. The longest putt was made by Tm Morgus.
Proceeds support student academic scholarships and provide funding for college initiatives and improvements.
