2 drivers OK after being pulled from wreck

JACKSON TWP — The drivers of two vehicles in an accident on Seneca School Road early this morning were both safely removed and taken to Pittsburgh-area hospitals after being trapped for about two hours.

Their conditions are unknown.

“The patients are alive and well as far as we know,” said Chief Neil Nanna of the Harmony Volunteer Fire Department.

The accident occurred about 8:15 a.m. when a tractor trailer turning from Little Creek Road onto Seneca School Road tipped over and landed on top of a Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck, said Terry Seilhamer, Jackson Township police chief.

Both drivers, both male, were trapped for about two hours while emergency responders worked to move the vehicles and get them out.

The driver of the pickup truck was taken via a helicopter while the other man was taken in an ambulance.
