Middlesex official charged with hindering EMS
MIDDLESEX TWP — The vice chairman of the township supervisors is charged with disorderly conduct and obstructing emergency services.
Adams Township Police Chief Bill Westerman said Donald Marshall was arrested about 7:30 a.m. Saturday when he refused to get out of the way of emergency service providers who were tending to his 17-year-old son.
Westerman said Marshall’s son was involved in a single-car accident on Route 228, and was taken by ambulance to Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh.
He said Marshall, who had arrived at the crash scene between Mars High School and Mars-Valencia Road, would not relinquish control of the situation to police and ambulance personnel as they attempted to aid and extricate the younger Marshall from the vehicle, Westerman said.
The police report will not be available until officers complete their investigation, Westerman said.
Marshall, who is the owner of J.W. Marshall Salvage on Browns Hill Road, could not be reached for comment.
