CRANBERRY TWP — Comtra Theatre will stage “Peter and the Starcatcher” starting Friday and running through April 21 at the theater on Route 19.

“Peter and the Starcatcher” by playwright Rick Elice is a dreamer's prequel to “Peter Pan.”

In the Tony-Award winning play with music, starcatcher-in-training Molly meets an orphan boy longing for a home, and they embark on the adventure of a lifetime.

In their epic sea quest, they cross swords with a motley pirate crew led by the fearfully funny Black Stache, and lead the audience on a rollicking, transformative adventure to discover their destinies in the Neverland you never knew.

The show is based on the novel by Dave Barry and Ridley Pearson with music by Wayne Barker.
