Vernon V. Dittmer
Vernon V. “Butch” Dittmer, 71, of Middlesex Township, Valencia, died Monday afternoon at his home.
Born in Herman on April 23, 1943, he was the son of the late Engelbert and Tracy Lemmon Dittmer.
Butch had been a welding inspector at Pullman Standard and later was co-owner of Professional Cleaning.
He was a member of Holy Sepulcher Roman Catholic Church in Glade Mills and the Harmony Lodge 429 F&AM.
Surviving are his wife, Dorothy J. Schultz George Dittmer; one son, Jeffery Michael Dittmer (Kristen) in Wisconsin; one daughter, Donna Ridenour (Bill) of Slippery Rock; four stepsons, Edward George of Middlesex Township, Brian George (Joanna) of Sewickley, Mark George of Chicora and Andrew George of Renfrew; two stepdaughters, Barbara Jamison (John) of Middlesex Township and Paula Schmiedel (Rob) of Ft. Wayne, Ind.; one sister, Cleo Bristol of Butler; 21 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Cruikshank Road, Butler, on Friday at 10:30 a.m. with the Rev. Robert Cedolia, pastor, officiating. Please meet at the church.
