Eileen “Sue” Suzanne Dietrick

Eileen “Sue” Suzanne Dietrick, 87, formerly of Middlesex Township, Valencia and Saxonburg, died Tuesday evening at Concordia of Cabot.

Born June 15, 1929, in Spangler, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Bernard and Eileen Gues Smithbauer.

A homemaker, Sue was a member of the Holy Sepulcher Roman Catholic Church. A true caregiver, Sue dedicated her life to caring for family. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, home decorating, arranging flowers and picnics at Cook's Forest.

Surviving are four daughters, Debbie Dietrick in Spain, Marianne (Jim) Gallagher of Havertown, Pa., Sue Ivancic of Rochester, N.Y., and Pam (Bill) Semler of Valencia; her son, Gerald Dietrick of Natrona Heights; her grandchildren, Michael (Jessica) Semler, Stephen (Jackie) Gallagher, Dan Ivancic and Tim (Christie) Ivancic; her great-grandchildren, Roz and Dalton Gallagher and Penelope Semler; her sister, Wanda Fike of Lexington, Ky.; and her brother, David Smithbauer of Blairsville.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Myron Dietrick; and her sister, Phyllis Petrunyak.

Sue's family would like to extend their thanks and gratitude to the exceptional staff at Concordia for their compassionate care.

DIETRICK — Friends of Eileen Suzanne “Sue” Dietrick, who died Tuesday, Feb. 21, 2017, will be received at the McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home, 238 Crowe Ave., Mars, from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Friday, followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 11 a.m. at the Holy Sepulcher Church, 6515 Old Route 8 North, Butler, with the Rev. Robert Cedolia, pastor, officiating. Burial will be at St. Mary's and St. George's Church Cemetery, Patton.Memorials may be made to Concordia of Cabot, 134 Marwood Road, Cabot.Directions and condolences are available at www.mcdonald-aeberli.com.
