Marguerite (Burger) Shrum

Marguerite (Burger) Shrum, 85, of Penn Township passed away on Saturday.

Marguerite was a longtime parishioner at Holy Sepulcher Catholic Church, where she was a Eucharistic lay minister, taught CCD and was active with Cursillo.

She also enjoyed playing cards and most of all, being with her beloved family.

She was the beloved wife for 65 years of Gerald R. Shrum; loving mother of Mary Beth Graham, Linda (George) White, Kathryn (John) Pivak, Gerald (Sherry) Shrum Jr., Susan (Wayne) Rodgers and Richard (Michele) Shrum; dear grandmother to Jennifer, Matthew, Rebecca, David, Amy, Tony and Melissa.

She is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren.

SHRUM — Friends of Marguerite (Burger) Shrum, who died Saturday, Jan. 26, 2019, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Schellhaas Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 5864 Heckert Road, Bakerstown.A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Holy Sepulcher Catholic Church with burial to follow in Christ Our Redeemer Cemetery.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.Please offer condolences at www.schellhaasfh.com.
