The Zelienople Public Library will be hosting the following speakers as part of its “Explore Earth: our changing planet” exhibit which is funded by the American Library Association, the Space Science Institutes National Center for Interactive Learning, the Lunar and Planetary Institute, and the After School Alliance.

- A Tour of Eden Hall — Sustainability Research (Chatham University) will be at 11:00 to 1 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 30th, at Eden Hall on Ridge Road in Gibsonia.

The event is directed toward adults and homeschool families.

- William Brice, VP Petroleum History Institute will present “Early Fracking and the Use of Nitroglycerin” at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 6, at the Zelienople Library. The talk is directed toward adults.

- Jennings Environmental Education Center will be presenting “Citizen Science for a Changing Planet” at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 8, at the Zelienople Library

The event is directed toward families.

Fred McMullen, National Weather Service, will present “Talk with a Meteorologist!” at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 13, at the Zelienople Library

Additionally, the library will be offering science and other STEM topics which will be incorporated into their regular children’s programs offered at the library:

- Amazing Mondays (Grades K-6) — 1st and 3rd Mondays at 5 p.m.

- Toddler Storytime (ages 2-3) — Tuesdays at 10:30 a.m.

- Wee Ones Storytime (Under 24 months) — Wednesdays at 10:30 a.m.

- Preschool Storytime (ages 3.5-5) — Thursdays at 10:30 a.m.
