Volunteers gathered at Succop Nature Park in Penn Township on Monday to participate in the “Succop Spruce-Up.”

The event saw volunteers help prepare the park for the upcoming summer season by raking up branches and leaves, pruning shrubs and bushes, removing invasive plants, spreading mulch, touching up some exterior paint and other outdoor tasks.

The spruce-up is performed annually at the 50-acre nature park, which is owned by the Audubon Society of Western Pennsylvania.
