SLIPPERY ROCK — Slippery Rock High School will stage “13: The Musical” at 7 p.m. March 6, 7 and 8 in the auditorium at Slippery Rock High School, 201 Kiester Road.

Tickets for the show are available from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekdays in the athletics office at Slippery Rock High School.

Tickets also will be available from 5 to 7 p.m. through Friday and from 6 to 8 p.m. March 3 to 5 in the Slippery Rock High School auditorium lobby.

If tickets are still available the nights of the shows, they will be available directly outside the high school auditorium.

Lighthearted and hilarious, “13” is a coming-of-age story packed with upbeat musical numbers and dancing.

This story's witty humor combines with an honest portrayal of the lives of middle school students that will be relatable for adult and teenage audiences alike.

Twelve-year-old Evan Goldman has it all: a loving family, the coolest friends and a great life in the heart of the Big Apple. But it all falls apart when his parents suddenly divorce, and he's forced to move to small-town Appleton, Ind.

Now, with his 13th birthday fast approaching and a bar mitzvah to plan, Evan struggles to make friends and gain acceptance into his new community. Facing plenty of trials along the way, Evan finds himself having to make a choice between the person he is and the person he is going to become.
