Catherine R. Cypher

Catherine R. Cypher, 89, of Cabot passed away Saturday at the Good Samaritan Hospice.

Born Sept. 8, 1928, in Natrona Heights, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Majetich and Katherine Sankovich Majetich.

Catherine was a graduate of HarBrack High School. In her earlier years, she worked for Liberty Mirrorworks and G.C. Murphy. Catherine was employed for 13 years at Concordia Lutheran Ministries.

She was a member of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church in Cabot and the A.C.M.E. Slovenian Polka Club in Cheswick.

Catherine was an excellent polka dancer, cook and baker and loved sewing and flower gardening. Catherine was very active in her grandchildren's sporting events and loved being with her family.

Surviving are her loving daughters, Linda (Preston) Milich of Butler and Rosanne (Joseph) Thrower of Saxonburg; her granddaughters, Selena (Chris) McMichael, Jade Thrower and Abbie Thrower; her great-granddaughter, Amelia Rose McMichael; her great-grandson, Joseph McMichael; her brother, William (Mary) Majetich of Newbury, Ohio; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley P. Cypher; and eight siblings.

CYPHER — Friends of Catherine R. Cypher, who died Saturday, June 2, 2018, will be received from 9 a.m. to noon Tuesday at the Fox Funeral Home, 410 W. Main St., Saxonburg.A Mass of Christian burial will follow at 1 p.m. at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, Cabot, with the Rev.
