Lorie Belle Raylene McCurry, 47, of Grove City, passed away Sunday, Aug. 29, 2021, while on a family vacation in Sarasota, Fla.

She was born in Butler, and was the daughter of Raymond Campbell and the late Norma Mae (Sarvey) Campbell.

Lorie loved all of her family with a passion. She enjoyed crafting, blogging, photography, traveling and driving. She was reaching her goals and dreams on her “Simply Create” group on social media, where she taught and encouraged many in the Lord, and crafting on a budget.

She was a devoted wife and mother and homeschooled her beloved two sons.

Surviving are her husband of 25 years, John McCurry, former Marine Corps lance corporal and current VA hospital employee; two sons, Ian, 13, and Aevan, 12; her father, Raymond (Diana) Campbell of Butler; four siblings, Robert “Bob” Campbell of Butler, David “Dave” (Regina) Campbell of Butler, Richard “Rick” (Heidi) Campbell of Cape Coral, Fla. and Linda Diane (Wade) Peters of East Butler; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Norma Mae (Sarvey) Campbell, who passed away in 2007.

MCCURRY — Friends of Lorie Belle Raylene McCurry, who died Sunday, Aug. 29, 2021, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Young Funeral Home, 127 W. Jefferson St., Butler.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Burial will be private.
