Chester E. Parquett
Chester E. Parquett, 91, of Forestville passed away Tuesday at Shelbourne Personal Care Home in Butler.
Chester was born in Liberty Township, Mercer County, April 13, 1926, to John P. and Francis L. (Young) Parquett. He married Shelva Jean Klink July 22, 1963. She preceded him in death May 25, 1999.
He retired in 1987 from Cooper Energy Services in Grove City, where he was a supervisor for 30 years.
Chester was raised in the Protestant faith. He was a graduate of Slippery Rock High School. Following high school, he was drafted into the U.S. Navy and served in the Pacific Theater.
He was a member of the American Legion, Harrisville.
He is survived by a brother, Fred Parquett, of Butler; a sister-in-law, Carole A. Augostine, of Forestville; and a brother-in-law, Edward L. Klink and his wife Linda, of Butler.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Ethel Burke and Helen Larry; and three brothers, Thomas, Francis and John Parquett.
PARQUETT — Visitation for Chester E. Parquett, who died Tuesday, Sept. 12, 2017, will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Cunningham Funeral Home, 306 Bessemer Ave., Grove City.Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, also at the funeral home, with the Rev.
