John Sylvester Bocchi
John Sylvester Bocchi, 73, of Butler died Saturday in the comfort of his home surrounded by his family.
Born July 31, 1944, in Cabot, he was the son of the late Silvis Bocchi and Dena Pagenalli Bocchi.
John was a 1963 graduate of Knoch High School.
He worked for Saxonburg Ceramics from 1965 until 2002.
He enjoyed bicycling, gardening and bird watching. He also enjoyed trout fishing and hunting.
John will be dearly missed.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife, Margaret “Peggy” Adams Bocchi, whom he married July 25, 1970; his sons, John Bocchi of Butler, Bryan (Lynnanne) Bocchi of Mechanicsburg and Kevin (Vanessa) Bocchi of Butler; his daughter, Amy (Erik) Straughn of Herman; his grandchildren, Scarlette, Lawrance, Cameron and Andrew; his brother, Anthony Bocchi of Marwood; his sister, Sylvia (Martin) Sikora of Leechburg; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his brothers, Dino, Paul and Arthur.
BOCCHI — A memorial Mass for John Sylvester Bocchi, who died Saturday, Dec. 2, 2017, will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, 128 N. McKean St., Butler.He will be laid to rest at St. Mary Cemetery in Herman.Arrangements were entrusted to Boylan Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 856 Evans City Road, Renfrew.Memorial donations may be made in his honor to Glimmer of Hope Foundation, P.O.
