Margaret “Peg” Glagola
Margaret “Peg” Glagola, 93, of Butler died Wednesday at her home.
Born April 4, 1925, in Allison, Pa., she was a daughter of the late Charles Mucha and Sophia (Hudivok) Mucha.
Peg was a graduate of Masontown High School. She then joined the Cadet Nurse Corps and graduated from Uniontown Hospital School of Nursing, Class of 1947.
She had worked at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City, was an office nurse on Park Avenue, New York, and had retired from Sunnyview as a night supervisor, having touched countless lives with love, faith and compassion.
She treasured her time with family sharing memories.
She was an active member of St. Andrew Orthodox Church in Lyndora, serving 25 years as an officer of the sisterhood and also was a member of the church council and choir.
Surviving are her three sons, Paul N. “Nick” Glagola of Red Lion, Pa., Mark E. Glagola of Dallas, Texas, and Charles J. (Roxanne) Glagola of Butler; one daughter, Susan (Jeff) Campbell of Butler; four grandchildren, Justin Glagola, Ryan Glagola, Marisa (Van) Campbell-Chew and Jordan Campbell; one great-grandson, Ayden Glagola; and two sisters, Ann Patrick of New Jersey and Sophia Krill of Katy, Texas.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul E. Glagola, whom she married July 12, 1952, and who died June 23, 2008; three sisters, Mary Stretton, Helen Wallace and Julia Minchik; and one brother, Lt. Col. Daniel Mucha.
GLAGOLA — Friends of Margaret “Peg” Glagola, who died Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2019, will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday and from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Andrew Orthodox Church, 201 Penn Ave., Lyndora.Funeral services will then be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the church. The Rev.
