Glee Emily Lang, 86, of Middlesex Township, Valencia, passed away on Wednesday morning, April 6, 2022, in the comfort of her home with her family at her side.

Born in Cooperstown, she was the daughter of the late Nicholas and Glee Sarah Truver Marshall.

She was the last surviving member of her immediate family, and was preceded in death by her sisters, Pearl Love, Birdie Kroll, Jane Filipow and Glee Sarah Marshall, who died at birth; and her brothers, Roy “Cap,” Sam “Jack,” William, Charles, Robert, James, Joy “Joe” and Paul E. “Hoover” Marshall.

She was a member of Glade Run Presbyterian Church.

Glee was the life of the party. She had a great sense of humor and loved to laugh. Everyone was welcomed into her home and enjoyed her famous dip.

Surviving are her sons, Walter “Butch” Lang Jr. of Butler, and James Lang of Valencia, with whom she made her home; a daughter, Beth Lang Zollner (the late Edward) of Butler; four grandchildren, James, Courteney (Justin), Zach (Amy) and Zara (Anthony); her great-grandchildren, Alex, Mila, Owen and Eli; and many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter J. Lang, whom she married on Aug. 14, 1954, and who died on April 12, 1993.

LANG — Friends of Glee Emily Lang, who died Wednesday, April 6, 2022, will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at MCDONALD-AEBERLI FUNERAL HOME, 238 Crowe Ave., Mars.

Additional visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. Saturday at Glade Run Presbyterian Church, 1091 Pittsburgh Road, Valencia.

Burial will be in Glade Run Cemetery, Middlesex Township.
