Site of parking garage meeting switched
The special joint meeting on Tuesday of Butler City Council, the city parking authority, the city redevelopment authority and JS Capital Group has been moved to the Grand Ballroom at Cornerstone Commons, 201 S. Main Street.
The 7 p.m. meeting was initially to be in the city council chambers.
The city clerk said Monday the meeting was moved because a larger crowd is anticipated to attend.
The three city boards plus developer JS Capital Group are to discuss and decide about building a 225-lot parking garage for the Centre City project.
JS Capital is building the project which includes the parking garage, a Marriott Springhill Suites hotel and a Rite Aid pharmacy that will open this fall.
