County considers another voting site move

Another polling place may move come the May primary.

Butler County commissioners on Wednesday will be asked to move the Butler Township 1-1 precinct’s voting site from the Community Life Church to a building on the Butler County Community College campus.

Adam Price, the county’s precinct and poll worker coordinator, said the county Bureau of Elections has asked commissioners to move the polling location to the Public Safety Training Center at BC3. According to Price, the move would impact roughly 2,250 voters.

Currently, according to Price, voters in both the Butler Township 1-1 and 1-2 precincts vote at the church. The new location for township 1-1 precinct voters would be more central within the precinct, according to Price, and would ease the burden on Community Life Church.

The public safety training building is roughly two miles away from the church.
