Elmina E. Facemire
Elmina E. Facemire, 82, of Butler passed away Monday, at Good Samaritan Hospice in Cabot.
She was born Dec. 23, 1934, in Jefferson Township, the daughter of the late Albert and Mary (Welsh) Martsolf.
She was a member of Summit Presbyterian Church, where she was a deacon and sang in the choir. She loved traveling with her daughters and experiencing new things. She loved bragging about her children and grandchildren and affected many people with her smile and laugh.
Surviving are her three daughters, Katherine (Warren) Goodwin, of Hamilton, Mass., Karen (James) Keffalas, of Renfrew, Sharon (Andrew) Ervin, of Gardner, Pa.; her son, Rex (Bernadette) Facemire, of Butler; 17 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; her sister, Alice (Harry) Tayman, of Butler; and her two brothers, Albert (Nettie) Martsolf Jr., of Butler, and Alfred (Millie) Martsolf, also of Butler.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Harold Facemire, whom she married Aug. 2, 1952, and who passed away April 23, 2012; two sons, Edward Facemire and Wayne Facemire; two grandchildren; and two sisters, Margaret Dyer and Caroline Hay.
FACEMIRE — Friends of Elmina E. Facemire, who died Monday, Sept. 4, 2017, will be received from 3 p.m. until time of service at 4 p.m. Thursday, at Summit Presbyterian Church, 181 Caldwell Drive, Butler, with her pastor, Tom Jones, officiating. Arrangements were handled by Young Funeral Home, 127 W.
