William H. “Percy” Kelsea

William H. “Percy” Kelsea, 71, of East Brady died Saturday at Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born Oct. 6, 1944, in East Brady, he was the son of Dr. William H. and Helen R. (Crispen) Kelsea Jr.

After graduating from East Brady High School in 1964, Percy served as a specialist 4 in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was a recipient of the National Defense Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal, the Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal and the Vietnam Cross of Gallantry with Palm.

He was a member of the American Legion posts 402 and 488 in Bradys Bend. Percy enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time outdoors.

Percy is survived by one daughter, Kelly Kelsea of Karns City; one son, William “Heath” Kelsea of Butler; and one stepdaughter, Carla (Michael) Hillwig of West Sunbury.

He also is survived by 21 grandchildren, great-grandchildren and stepgrandchildren and stepgreat-grandchildren.

Percy was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother, Russell Greenawalt.

Percy was dearly loved by his family and friends and will be greatly missed.
