Rosina “Rose” G. Dufford
Rosina “Rose” G. Dufford, 94, of Butler passed away Sunday at the Good Samaritan Hospice at Concordia.
She was born Aug. 25, 1922, in Cabot, and was a daughter of the late Joseph and Maria Cosentino Ippolito.
Rose was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church.
She was a homemaker and was formerly employed at Spaide Shirt Factory. She was also formerly in charge of the cafeteria at St. Michael the Archangel School. Rose also made wedding and occasion cakes.
Rose was a member of St. Michael's Ladies Guild, AARP and the DAV Auxiliary.
She is survived by her nephews and nieces, Ronald Passarelli and his wife, Nancy; David Passarelli; Cathy Shaffer and her husband, Brad; James Ippolito and his wife, Barbara; Michael Ippolito; Frank Ippolito and his wife, Sonya; and Janice Nulph.
Also surviving are 12 great-nephews and great-nieces and 10 great-great-nephews and great-great-nieces.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles F. Dufford, who died Aug. 1, 1994; three brothers, Rosario Ippolito, James (Mary Lou) Ippolito and Frank (Genevieve) Ippolito; one sister, Elizabeth (Norie) Passarelli; and one nephew, Thomas (Claudette) Ippolito.
DUFFORD — Friends of Rosina “Rose” G. Dufford, who died Sunday, March 19, 2017, will be received at the Martin Funeral Home, 429 Center Ave., Butler, from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Saturday.A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church, 432 Center Ave., Butler.
