American Red Cross is hosting a blood drive from 12:30 to 6 p.m. Friday at Center Presbyterian Church, 211 Center St. in Slippery Rock.

According to a news release from Red Cross, the drive only has half the number of donors registered necessary to make the blood drive successful. The organization needs to have blood supply stocked to make sure every patient can be healthy for the holiday season.

Donors can also enter a competition to win a screening to the “Matrix: Resurrections,” as well as a $10 Amazon gift card.
