PITTSBURGH — A man charged with assaulting the wife of Pirates catcher Chris Snyder during a road rage incident has been ordered to stand trial.

A judge ordered 44-year-old Subhash Modhwadia bound over for trial Wednesday on charges including aggravated assault and criminal mischief for the June 15 altercation with Carla Snyder.

Investigators say Modhwadia was riding a scooter when he nearly collided with the SUV being driven by Carla Snyder. Modhwadia allegedly followed her into a parking lot, kicked the vehicle then swung at the woman.
