Wallace 'Wally' Wayne Hillard
Wallace “Wally” Wayne Hillard, 75, of Butler passed away at 7:08 a.m. April 25 at the Gulfside Center for Hospice Care in Zephyr-hills, Fla.
He was born Aug. 27, 1936, in Hilliards, to the late F. Alton Hillard and Sara A. Bell Hillard.
Mr. Hillard worked as a welder at Armco Steel Corp. for 39 years and retired May 1, 1995.
He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, a member of the Moose Lodge 64 and a life member of the East Butler Hunting and Fishing Club. He was a deputy game warden for the Pennsylvania Game Commission for 25 years and was a member of Ducks Unlimited and the NRA. Mr. Hillard enjoyed fishing, hunting, boating and watching the Penguins and Steelers.
Mr. Hillard is survived by his loving spouse, Margaret (Peggy), who he married on Oct. 25, 1956, three daughters, Marcia K. Hillard of Glen Allen, Va., Mary E. Beilstein and her husband, Joseph, of Butler and Michele A. Carlson and her husband, Lee, of Webster, N.Y.; 12 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Helen Ferguson of Grove City and Debbie Sweeny of Harrisville; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Edward and Richard Hillard.
<B>HILLARD</B> — A memorial service for Wallace “Wally” Wayne Hillard, who passed away on Wednesday, April 25, 2012, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the First United Methodist Church, 200 E. North St., Butler, with the Rev. Dr. J.
