Margaret Ann “Peggy” Hillard
Margaret Ann “Peggy” Hillard, 81, of Butler passed away on Monday at Butler Memorial Hospital.
She was born April 15, 1937, in Karns City, and was the daughter of the late Cecil L. Gibson and the late Margaret M. Wagner Gibson.
Peggy was a 1955 graduate of Karns City High School.
She worked in the print shop at ServiStar for 22 years before retiring in 1996.
Peggy was a member of First United Methodist Church, where she enjoyed teaching.
She also enjoyed reading, gardening and above all, spending time with her friends and family, especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by her two daughters, Mary Ellen Beilstein and her husband, Joseph, of Butler, and Michele A. Carlson and her husband, Lee, of Clifton Park, N.Y.; 11 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; her brothers, Dale Gibson and his wife, Melba, of Savannah, Ga., and Michael D. Gibson of Butler; a sister, Carolyn McElravy of Karns City; and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wallace W. Hillard, whom she married on Oct. 25, 1956, and who passed away on April 25, 2012; a daughter, Marcia K. Hillard; a sister, Dawn Kepple; and a grandchild, Adam Abubaker.
HILLARD — Per her wishes, there will be no public visitation for Margaret Ann “Peggy” Hillard, who died Monday, May 21, 2018.A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at First United Methodist Church, 200 E. North St., Butler, with Pastor Lee Carlson of Shenendehowa United Methodist Church officiating.Arrangements were handled by Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E.
