E. Lewis “Lew” Mullenax

E. Lewis “Lew” Mullenax, 87, of Harmony passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, March 14, 2021.

Born May 4, 1933, in Ashtabula, Ohio, he was the son of the late James M. Mullenax and Velma L. Lambert Mullenax.

Lew served as president of the Zelienople-Harmony Sportsmen's Club for more than 20 years. He was also a member of Ellwood City Lodge 599 F&AM. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed camping, fishing and hunting. He also enjoyed traveling.

Above all, Lew was a loving husband, brother and uncle, who will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife of 68 years, Ruth Frishkorn Mullenax, whom he married on April 30, 1952; his sister, JoAnn Neal of Prospect; the daughters of his heart, Deb (Jim) Smith of Evans City and Heather (Jon) Williams of Cranberry Township; his great-great-nieces, Lexi, Emma and Taylor; and many other nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Lew was preceded in death by his sister, Elizabeth “Liz” Gallagher, and his brother, Jesse Mullenax.

MULLENAX — Friends E. Lewis “Lew” Mullenax, who died Sunday, March 14, 2021, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, March 21, 2021, at Boylan Funeral Home, 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople.Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, personal facial protection is required to attend the viewing. Please also follow social distancing guidelines while inside the funeral home.A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, March 22, 2021, at the funeral home, with the Rev. James R.
