John C. Davenport, 33, of Detroit, was sentenced to four to 12 months in county prison, and was released on immediate parole after pleading guilty to felony access device fraud and misdemeanor fleeing or attempting to elude law enforcement on April 11.

A Michigan man charged with allegedly making fraudulent purchases at local stores and fleeing police, was released on time served in Butler County Court of Common Pleas on Thursday.

John C. Davenport, 33, of Detroit, was sentenced to four to 12 months in county prison, and was released on immediate parole, by county Judge Timothy McCune, after pleading guilty to felony access device fraud and misdemeanor fleeing or attempting to elude law enforcement on April 11.

He was also ordered to undergo 12 months probation and to pay $7,074.20 in restitution.

His attorney, Public Defender Charles Nedz, said Davenport intended to return home to Michigan following his release.

Davenport was initially charged with 11 felony counts, including four counts each of identity theft, access device fraud, one count of theft, one count of receiving stolen property, one count of fleeing officers and summary traffic violations after an incident in Cranberry Township on Aug. 10, 2016.
