Lucille Swigart
Lucille Lorraine Swigart, 90, formerly of Renfrew, passed away Friday, Jan. 15, 2021, while under the care of Meadow Lake Manor at Sugar Creek Rest in Sugar Creek Township.
Born Aug. 25, 1930, in Latrobe, she was the daughter of the late Ray H. McKissick and Minnie L. Scott McKissick.
Lucille was a member of the Butler Chapter 45 Order of the Eastern Star.
She was a graduate of Allegheny General Hospital School of Nursing.
She worked as a registered nurse, and retired as the assistant director of nursing at Butler Memorial Hospital.
She enjoyed camping, loved to travel, and especially taking cruises with her husband, Jay. She loved animals, particularly dogs and cats. Above all, Lucille loved her family and cherished her time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered.
Lucille leaves behind to cherish her memory her twin sons, Ray L. (Debbie) Swigart and Jay D. (Cindy) Swigart II, both of Butler; her grandsons, Douglass W. (Kristen) Swigart, Michael R. (Jennifer) Swigart and Jay D. (Samantha) Swigart III; her great-grandchildren, Dylan M., Emalynn R. and Peyton L.; her brother, Ray (Sandy) McKissick of Elderton, Pa.; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Lucille was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Jay D. Swigart, whom she married on May 17, 1952, and passed away on April 4, 2010; and her sister, Jean Jordan.
SWIGART — All services are private for Lucille Lorraine Swigart, who died Friday, Jan. 15, 2021.
A celebration of life service will be announced at a later date.
Lucille will be laid to rest alongside her husband at Butler County Memorial Park.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Boylan Funeral Home & Cremation Center of Connoquenessing Township, 856 Evans City Road, Renfrew.
