Corporation holds annual meeting

The East Brady Area Development Corporation held its annual meeting Nov. 13.

Reviewing its annual contributions to society, the corporation's members contributed more than 700 volunteer hours from January to October.

The corporation had its hand in projects such as local cleanups, fundraisers and trail work.

Members also worked to promote the borough's 150th anniversary.

The group's next effort comes Dec. 7 with its “We Believe” Light-Up Night.

The corporation also donated about $10,500 this year, with most of that going toward the construction of a pavilion at Riverfront Park, which was completed earlier this year.

A strategic planning meeting will be held in January to set goals for 2020, evaluate the effectiveness of current projects and programs and discuss new opportunities and challenges.

The corporation announced three directors for the three-year terms — Chris Henderson, Dawn Weibel and Greg Haws. These individuals were either added or renewed.

The corporation also reorganized with officers for 2020 as follows: Chris Henderson, president; Gayle Wright, vice president; Toni Henry, secretary; and Kate Hall, treasurer.
