Five Butler County high school baseball teams will be in WPIAL playoff action beginning Tuesday.

Butler will play Penn Trafford in a 6A game at 7 p.m. Tuesday at North Allegheny.

Freeport will take on Ringgold in a 4A clash at 4 p.m. Tuesday at Mt. Pleasant.

Cardinal Wuerl North Catholic will battle Charties-Houston in a 2A game at 4 p.m. Tuesday at Burkett Park.

In 5A, Mars received a first-round bye and will play the winner of the Moon-Gateway game May 23 at a site and time to be determined.

Knoch also received a bye in 4A and will play the winner of Hopewell-Derry May 22 at a site and time to be determined.

Three Butler County girls lacrosse teams will be in action Monday.Seneca Valley will host Indiana at 7:30 p.m. in a Class AAA clash.Mars will travel to Peters Township to take on Trinity at 6 p.m. in Class AA.Cardinal Wuerl North Catholic will play Ellis at Shady Side Academy at 6 p.m. in Class AA.
