A person ought to be certain when throwing around accusations involving dog feces.
Grove City Police report that Sarah Bennett, 21, is charged with scattering rubbish and disorderly conduct after one such dispute with a neighbor.
Police arrived on the 400 block of East Main Street in Grove City shortly after 7 a.m. Dec. 19 to investigate a report of someone leaving a bag of dog feces on a porch. They found the bag, along with a note from Bennett saying she was sick of that neighbor leaving their dog’s feces on her yard.
Police interviewed the neighbors. It turns out that they haven’t owned a dog since their own died three-and-a-half years ago.
According to the state code, someone found guilty of scattering rubbish must pay a $50 to $300 fine.
