CONNOQUENESSING TWP — A car wrecked into a wooded area along Dick Road this morning.

State Trooper Kevin Cramer said it appears the northbound vehicle drove straight into the woods.

Cramer said the driver, whose name was unavailable, was conscious when taken by Butler Ambulance to the Butler Farm Show grounds where he was transferred to a medical helicopter.

The man was flown to Allegheny General Hospital.

“He answered questions,” Cramer said.

Police are investigating the cause of the accident, which was reported in a 6:38 a.m. 911 call.

The Prospect Volunteer Volunteer Fire Department assisted at the scene. Butler Township Volunteer Fire District 3 assisted at the helicopter landing zone.
