Concert series recorded in Elm Court

The Frederick R. Koch Foundation is offering an online classical concert series in which all selections were recorded in various locations at Elm Court, which was owned by Koch until his death in February 2020.

The 40-room Gothic-Tudor mansion, built in 1929 and 1930 by the Phillips family of T.W. Phillips Gas & Oil Co., is on nine acres between North Elm and North Cliff streets in Butler.

Live from Elm Court premiered on the FRK Foundation’s YouTube channel on Monday.

It features emerging classical artists performing works found in Koch’s collection in Yale’s Beinecke Library.

The artists featured in the series’ five episodes include Louis Lohraseb, Los Angeles Opera conductor and pianist; sopranos Liv Redpath and Erica Petrocelli; violinist Madalyn Parnas, cellist Cicely Parnas, clarinetist Narek Arutyunian, and violinist Chieh-Fan Yiu.
