Pearl L. Burtner
Pearl L. (Bachman) Burtner, 98, of Butler passed away Friday at the VNA Inpatient Hospice.
She was born June 12, 1917, in Jefferson Township to the late Albert Bachman and Leah (Beggs) Bachman.
Mrs. Burtner was a homemaker and a member of the Thorn Creek United Methodist Church. She enjoyed crafts, embroidery and crocheting and loved word search puzzles.
Mrs. Burtner is survived by two daughters, Carol Peters of Saxonburg and Marsha Himchak and her husband, Michael, of Butler; six grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil F. Burtner, who she married Aug. 14, 1937, and who passed away Dec. 21, 1995; her son, Ronald Cecil Burtner; her grandson, Bryan Rumburg; three brothers, Ralph A. Bachman, Russel G. Bachman and Lyle K. Bachman; and one sister, Thelma L. Wiegand.
BURTNER — Friends of Pearl L. (Bachman) Burtner, who died Friday, Jan. 8, 2016, will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E. North St., Butler.Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Thorn Creek United Methodist Church, 142 Rockdale Road, Butler, with the Rev. Kurt Knobel officiating.
