Mary Ann Gibson

Mary Ann Gibson, 79, of Butler, passed away peacefully surrounded by family at Sunnyview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center on Tuesday, March 9, 2021.

Born in Butler on July 16, 1941, she was a daughter of the late Armand A. and Olive J. Thomas DeSantis.

She was employed as a bartender at the Crossbow Lounge.

Mary Ann enjoyed playing cards, going to the casino, listening to music and watching ghost adventures. She loved spending time with her family, especially her granddaughter and best friend, Chelsea. She also enjoyed cooking and making homemade soup.

She always had a tendency to make everyone she met smile and laugh. She loved animals and cherished her Boston terrier, Benny.

Mary Ann is survived by one daughter, Shawna Rimer, of Lyndora; three sons, Vince Fedorski and his fiancé, Barb Montgomery Hartle of Butler, Scott Rimer of Lyndora, and Wes Gibson Jr. of Butler; four grandchildren, Chelsea Rimer, who was her best friend, Anthony Rimer, Vinnie Fedorski and Shayleigh Willyard; two sisters, Cathy Fazzino of Butler, and Kim DeSantis of Butler; and a number of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Wes Gibson, who passed away Oct. 14, 1977; one brother, Oliver Thomas DeSantis; and one great-grandson, Chance Rimer.

Gibson — There will be no visitation for Mary Ann Gibson, who died Tuesday, March 9, 2021.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Martin Funeral Home, 429 Center Avenue, Butler.
