Winters

Ronald L. Winters, 65, of Butler, passed away on Friday, March 25, 2022, under the care of Good Samaritan Hospice.

He was born in Rochester, Pa., on Sept. 13, 1956, and was the son to the late Jack and Margaret “Peg” (Pennington) Winters.

Ron was a dedicated and loving father to his two children throughout their lives. Ron was also a committed and diligent worker in the construction and laborer's field as a foreman and other positions during his career. He was fortunate to retire early to enjoy his years golfing with his son; walking his dog, Basil, at Moraine State Park; and spending time with his children and grandchildren.

He is survived by his loving children, Chelsea R. (Jonathan) Smith and Austin J. Winters, both of Butler; his cherished grandchildren, Jack A. Smith, Tucker J. Smith, Max K. Smith, Butler; brothers, Ralph J. (Susan) Winters, East Liverpool, Ohio, and James D. Winters, Fairfax, Va.; and aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many loving friends.

WINTERS — A celebration of life picnic for Ronald L. Winters who died Friday, March 25, 2022, will be planned for this summer to honor and celebrate Ron's life.
