Wiley J. Master

Wiley J. Master, 72, of Chicora went home to heaven early Monday morning at the VNA Inpatient Hospice in Butler.

Wiley was born Sept. 19, 1944, in Pittsburgh. He was the son of the late Jack W. and Geraldine O. McCoy Master.

He was a 1962 graduate of Allegheny-Clarion Valley High School. Wiley is survived by his wife, Sandra Bowser Master, who he married July 24, 1981, in Bruin.

Wiley had owned and operated B and M Construction for more than 25 years and had also been employed by Bracken Construction. Wiley owned and operated the Parker Depot and later he and his wife, Sandy, owned and operated the Point Bar in Chicora for a number of years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and a cold beer with family and friends.

In addition to his wife, Wiley is survived by two sons, Wiley D. Master and James Murray and his wife, Susan, of Butler; three grandchildren, Morgan, Spencer and Rachel; his brother, Joe “Rocky” Master, and his wife, Margie, of Parker; his sister, Penny Lee Larkin of Parker; and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to his parents, Wiley was preceded in death by his daughter, Colleen.

MASTER — Per the wishes of Wiley J. Master, who died Monday, Jan. 9, 2017, there will be no visitation or public service, but he said to tell all his family and friends he will save them a place at the supper table.Memorial contributions may be made to your favorite charity.Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Hile Funeral Home of Chicora.Condolences may be sent by visiting www.hilefh.com.
