Marilyn June Foertsch Shuler
Marilyn June Foertsch Shuler, 73, of Fenelton went to be with her Savior on Thursday at Butler Memorial Hospital after a long illness.
Born May 22, 1939, in Natrona Heights, she was the daughter of Wilbert and Dorothy Findley Foertsch.
Marilyn was a dedicated and loving farm wife. She was a member of St. John Roman Catholic Church in Coylesville, the Butler County Historical Society, the Butler County Spinners and Weavers Club and the Hallmark Ornament Collectors Club. She was a long-time volunteer for 4-H, and she loved gardening, canning and traveling.
Surviving are her husband, Carl R. Shuler Sr., who she married Sept. 22, 1962; her children, Carol Ann Shuler of Fenelton, Carl R. Shuler Jr. of Fenelton, John Joseph (Christine) Shuler of Fenelton and Adele Ann (Adam) Crawford of Fenelton; her brothers and sisters, Leona Wills of Mars, Harold W. Foertsch of Butler, Vernon C. Foertsch of Saxonburg, Errol E. Foertsch of Butler, Carol C. Nelson of Butler, Mary Alice (George) Shuler of Butler, Dorothy R. Foertsch of Butler, Wilbert J. Foertsch Jr. of Hurricane, W.Va., Garry L. (Barb) Foertsch of Cabot and Karen O. Foertsch of Butler; eight grandchildren, Daniel Jacob (Jessica) Shuler, Amanda Shuler, Katelen Shuler, Christopher Shuler, Chase Shuler, Johanna Shuler, Autumn Crawford and Anna June Crawford; and one great-granddaughter, Grace Elizabeth Shuler.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one infant sister, Adele.
SHULER — Friends of Marilyn June Foertsch Shuler, who passed away Thursday, Sept. 6, 2012, will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday and 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Fox Funeral Home, Saxonburg.Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. John Roman Catholic Church.
