Margery R. Perrin

Margery R. Perrin, 88, of Avella died Friday in Strabane Woods in Washington, Pa.

She was born July 13, 1927, in Butler, the daughter of the late Walter L. and Ruth L. Thomas Roe.

Mrs. Perrin was a 1945 graduate of Butler High School. She received her Bachelor's of Science degree from Muskingum University and her Master's in Education from Duquesne University.

She was a teacher for the Avella School District for 44 years, retiring in 1993.

Mrs. Perrin had lived in Avella since 1949. She was a member of the Grove United Presbyterian Church in West Middletown, the Avella Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary, the Bert C. Siders American Legion Post 643 Ladies Auxiliary, Independence Grange 179, the Franklin Woman's Club and was a past president of the Avella Public Library.

On July 10, 1951, she married Robert V. Perrin, who died Oct. 22, 1983.

Surviving Mrs. Perrin are two sons, Richard L. (Denise) Perrin of Howard, Ohio, and David (Kelly) Perrin of Avella; four grandchildren, David Jr., Derek, Daren and Danielle; two great-grandchildren, Jude and Cameron; two sisters, Carol (Bruce) Ball of Butler and Donna (Bruce) Williamson of Mt. Vernon, Ohio; and her sister-in-law, Shirley Roe of Butler.

Preceding her in death, in addition to her husband and parents, was her brother, Thomas Roe.

PERRIN — Friends and family of Margery R. Perrin, who died Friday, Nov. 13, 2015, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. today at the Jerome A. Stefkovich Funeral Home, 18 Campbell St., Avella.Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Grove United Presbyterian Church, 125 E. Main St., West Middletown, with the Rev. Jack Emerick officiating. Burial will be at the Independence Cemetery, Avella.Memorial contributions may be made to the Avella Public Library at P.O.
