Fowler

Jean Fowler was named Alumni Nurse of the Year at the Butler Memorial Hospital Nurses' Alumni annual banquet.

She is a graduate of Marienville Joint High School and a 1970 graduate of Butler Memorial Hospital School of Nursing.

Fowler worked as office nurse for Dr. William Ashbaugh, as a home-health nurse and is presently employed at the Butler Veterans Affairs Medical Center.

Currently, she serves on the Ways and Means committee of the Nurse's Alumni organization, initiating and compiling the alumni cookbook. She also served on the banquet committee for several years.

She helps with dinners at her church and taught in the nursery.

A mother of three, she lives in Butler with her husband, Robert.

Nichole Laughlin, granddaughter of Joan Murphy.Kevin Chaff is currently attending Shadyside Hospital School of Nursing.DeVore is a senior at Willoughby High School, Willoughby, Ohio. He plans to pursue a degree in pre-medicine at Miami University.Diamond, a senior at Lakeside High School, will attend Baldwin-Wallace College and pursue a degree in Physical Therapy.Huff, a senior at Slippery Rock High School, plans to pursue an associate's degree in nursing at Penn State, Altoona.Kovach, a senior at Seneca Valley High School, will attend West Virginia University to pursue a degree in Physical Therapy.Laughlin, a senior at Butler High School, will attend St. Francis University of Loretto, Pennsylvania to become a physician's assistant.
