Police investigating Butler woman's death
Butler police are investigating the death of a 29-year-old woman Monday at her home on the 200 block of East Penn Street.
Jessica A. Parker was found dead in her bedroom shortly before 3 p.m., authorities said.
Butler County Deputy Corner Larry Barr pronounced her dead about 3:30 p.m.
An autopsy was performed Monday night, but the final results, including the cause of death, are pending toxicology reports, Barr said.
There was no sign of trauma or other injury on the body, Barr said.
Police said foul play is not suspected.
Investigators said Parker and her boyfriend went to bed about 10 a.m. When he woke up, he found her unresponsive.
Police were called to the home at 2:52 p.m.
When officers got there, according to a police report, Butler Fire Department and Butler Ambulance Service medics were attempting to revive the woman with “breathing treatments,” but to no avail.
No illegal drugs or other contraband were found at the scene, police said.
Barr noted that toxicology results could take four to six weeks.
