Cassandra Veppert, 72, of Butler, passed away Thursday, March 24, 2022.

She was born in Whitby, W.Va., on Sept. 4, 1949, and was the daughter of the late Frank and Gussie (Cook) Smith.

Cassandra graduated from Bohemia Manor High School, Class of 1967.

She enjoyed reading, doing puzzles and word searches, but most of all, she absolutely loved spending time with all her grandbabies.

Cassandra was known for her kind, loving and humorous personality.

She is survived by her daughter, Cindy (Clyde) Wyant; her grandchildren, Jamie (Brittany) Crookshank, William Crookshank, Paige Crookshank, Dylan (Ally) Crookshank and Autum Crookshank; and multiple great-grandchildren.

Cassandra was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Veppert; and her brothers and sisters.
