Carole Ann Wagner, 72, died peacefully on Saturday, March 20, 2021.

Carole was born on Nov. 23, 1948, and was the daughter of the late Catherine Maloney Wagner and John Wagner of Mount Lebanon.

Carole grew up in Squirrel Hill, and later moved to Zelienople, where she retired.

In 1970, Carole received a bachelor's degree in social work from Duquesne University. Carole was honored to be one of the first two students to complete a master's degree in physical therapy at the University of Pittsburgh.

Her career in physical therapy included Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh and Sewickley Hospital. Her passion for helping others was evident through her creative and compassionate care.

Carole attended St. Ferdinand Catholic Church in Cranberry Township, where she was a member for many years.

Upon retirement, Carole continued her passion for helping others in the community through volunteering at her church, knitting for special causes and offering comfort and assistance to those in nursing homes.

Carole is survived by her sister, Kathleen Warriner; and her nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, who loved her dearly.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Joyce Anderson; and her brother, John “Jack” Wagner.

WAGNER — A Mass of Christian burial for Carole Ann Wagner, who died Saturday, March 20, 2021, will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Ferdinand Catholic Church, 2535 Rochester Road, Cranberry Township.The Mass will be livestreamed and can be viewed by going to Carole's webpage on www.mccabebrothers.com and scrolling down the left side panel.Burial will immediately follow at Calvary Garden Mausoleum, 718 Hazelwood Ave., Pittsburgh.Arrangements are under the direction of McCabe Brothers Funeral Homes, Pittsburgh.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Carole's honor to Heartland Hospice Services of Seven Fields, 2000 Garden Drive, 200C, Seven Fields, PA 16046.
