John J. Martonik

John J. Martonik, 46, of Fenelton, passed away Friday morning at his home, surrounded by his loving family, following a brief illness.

John was born May 12, 1971, in Butler. He was the son of Sandi Schlentner Martonik and the late John M. Martonik.

John was a 1989 graduate of Butler High School.

John married the love of his life, Stacey Morrow, on Aug. 26, 1995. She survives.

John enjoyed going to the family camp, the casino, playing cards and spending time with friends and family around the fire. He was an avid sports fan. John worked in construction and excavating and was fondly referred to as “Johnny maintenance.”

In addition to his wife, Stacey, and his mother, Sandi, John is survived by his sister, Sandy Fristoe, and her husband, Tim; his mother-in-law, Georgia “Peg” Morrow; his brothers-in-law, Terry Morrow and his wife, Cindy, Randy Morrow and his wife, Rose, and Chris Morrow and his wife, Nicky; his sisters-in-law, Sherry McFarren and her husband, Ed, and Susan Stephenson and her husband, Tim; his nieces and nephews, Jill Morrow, Jennifer Morrow and her husband, David, Grant Morrow and his wife, Ashley, Tyler Walters and his wife, Kelly, Lucas Morrow, Kristen Fristoe, Cameron Wagner and Emma Morrow; two great-nephews, Cash and Oakley Morrow; and two stepnieces, Brandy Waldroup and Misty Jordan.

John was preceded in death by his father, John; and his father-in-law, Lew Morrow.

MARTONIK — Friends of John J. Martonik, who died Friday, July 7, 2017, will be received from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the Hile Funeral Home of Chicora, 339 Chicora Fenelton Road, Chicora, where a funeral service will follow at 4 p.m. with the Rev.
