Katherine L. 'Kay' Werling Brandt
Katherine L. “Kay” Werling Brandt, 82, of Mars passed away Monday morning at LAS St. John Specialty Care Center in Mars.
Born in Pittsburgh, on March 22, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Louis and Clara Meyers Werling.
She had worked in the office of Three Rivers Food Brokers.
Kay enjoyed camping with the Moraine Blazing Stars Campers, and she loved flower gardening and crocheting.
She was a member of St. Kilian Church in Mars.
Surviving are her husband, Raymond J. Brandt, who she married Aug. 20, 1955; her daughter, Terri Brandt of Mars; her three sons, Donald Brandt (Jane) of Maryland, Craig Brandt (Kim) in Georgia, and Charles Brandt (Kim) of Saxonburg; her grandchildren, Melissa Marion (Brett), Adam Brandt (Jess), Gloria Brandt, Amber Smith (Lance), Layla, Elizabeth, Jason, Charles Jr., Andrew, and Erin Brandt; her great-granddaughter, Mila Marion; her brother, Robert Werling, and her two sisters, Esther and Deanna Werling, all of Warrendale.
She was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.
Brandt — The friends of Katherine L. “Kay” Werling Brandt, who passed away Monday, April 14, 2014, will be received at the McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home, 238 Crowe Ave., Mars, from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday.A blessing service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with Father Charles Bober officiating.
