Butler Township couple escapes fire unscathed
A Butler Township couple had to escape their house this morning after fire erupted in their kitchen, authorities said.
Bill and Peggy Maier were asleep shortly before 8 a.m. when they noticed the fire in their home on Ayleshire Road.
They got out unharmed and called 911.
Firefighters were able to quickly extinguish the fire and limit most of the damage to the kitchen.
The state police fire marshal’s office is investigating.
