Janet L. (Freeauf) Garrison, 80, of Penn Township passed away Sunday with her family in the comfort of her home.

Born on Nov. 24, 1932, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of the late William A. and Theresa (Glowacki) Freeauf.

In 1977, Janet married Ray Garrison at the First Presbyterian Church of Gibsonia.

She was a physical therapist aide at St. Margaret Hospital in Aspinwall until her retirement. Her greatest joy came from being a mother and grandmother.

She was the loving mother of Joyce M. (Paul) Ambrose, Janice T. (Robert) Lamm, Joseph W. (Donna) Goldie Sr., James (Althea) Goldie Sr. and Judith A. Goldie; grandmother to 16 grandchildren; and great-grandmother to seven great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Garrison; her son, Jay A. Goldie, who died in 2001; and her former husband, Joseph W. Goldie.

GARRISON — The family of Janet L. (Freeauf) Garrison, who passed away Sunday, Aug. 25, 2013, will welcome friends from 1 to 9 p.m. today at theKing Funeral Home, 2841 Woodland Circle in Allison Park.

A blessing service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home with Father John B. Gizler III of Holy Sepulcher officiating. She will be laid to rest at the Hampton Cemetery in Allison Park.
