Virginia J. Woltemar
Virginia J. Woltemar, 85, of Ross Township died Thursday morning at UPMC Passavant Hospital in McCandless Township.
Born in Mars on July 1, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Donald and Mary English Darr.
Virginia attended Bakerstown United Methodist Church and had been an antique dealer at various Pittsburgh area shops and estate sales.
She was the beloved mother of Marcia McKnight and her husband, James, of Mars, Laurie Dick and her husband, Michael, of Bethel, Ohio, and Tami Palbus and her husband, Michael, of Gibsonia; step-mother of Jack Woltemar of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.; sister of James Darr and his wife, Rita, of Ross Township and Richard Darr and his wife, Camille, of Concord, Calif.; and sister-in-law of Bonnie Darr of Valencia. Also surviving are eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Frank K. Jones, who died in 1963; her second husband, George Woltemar, who died in 1999; a step-son, George S. Woltemar; a sister, Marion Sirney; a brother, Duane “Butch” Darr; and a great-grandson, Alex Williams.
WOLTEMAR — Friends of Virginia J. Woltemar, who died Thursday, June 28, 2012, will be received at McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home, 238 Crowe Ave., Mars, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday.Services will be at 2;30 p.m. Sunday at the Bakerstown United Methodist Church, 6750 William Flinn Highway (Route 8), Gibsonia, with the Rev. Dennis W. Swineford, pastor, officiating. Please meet at the church. Burial will be in Mt.
