MUDDY CREEK TWP — The 11th annual Regatta at Lake Arthur will take place from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the North Shore of Moraine State Park. Admission is free.

A water taxi will leave McDanel's Launch on the hour and leave Lakeview for McDanel's on the half-hour for $2 each way per person from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. both days.

Weather permitting, helicopter rides will be held in the amphitheater parking lot for $30 per adult and $10 for children 10 and under.

Regatta activities include live music, entertainment, vendors, fishing, sailing, kayak, hot air balloon and ground kite demonstrations, educational and interactive children's events and fireworks.

PITTSBURGH — Free admission will be offered from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday at Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens in Schenley Park.Guests will have the opportunity to experience the glass exhibition "Life in the Gardens: Fräbel Glass at Phipps" as well as the exotic "Tropical Forest: Headwaters of the Amazon," and the Butterfly Forest.Phipps is open daily from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. and until 10 p.m. on Fridays. GROVE CITY — Grove City will be the site of the Olde Town American Festival downtown from Aug. 6 to 8 with a parade at 7 p.m. Tuesday along South Broad Street.The festival will be open from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and will include carnival rides and games. FRANKLIN — A variety of music is planned during the Taste of Franklin Old-Fashioned Bargain Days on Friday and Saturday downtown.Performers will include Gayle George, Pop Rocks, Rod Tucker, Max Schang Band, Old Time Radio Show and Catro.The event is sponsored by the Franklin Fine Arts Council and the Franklin Retail Merchants Association. MILL RUN — Reservations are now being accepted for the 15th annual Fallingwater Twilight Tour and Picnic Dinner Aug. 22 at the Frank Lloyd Wright house, 1491 Mill Run Road.Guests will enjoy wine and hors d'oeuvres on the bridge outside Fallingwater, followed by a self-guided tour of the house. At twilight, a lantern-lit path will lead guests to a meadow where a gourmet picnic dinner and jazz by Roger Humphries and his RH Factor Quintet awaits.The twilight tour begins at 6:30 p.m. followed by the picnic and jazz performance at 8 p.m. Tickets are $200 per person, or $175 per person for members of the Western Pennsylvania Conservancy.
