U.S. well represented at this year's festival
Jeep owners from across the United States are coming this year to the Bantam Jeep Heritage Festival.
Registration data confirms Jeeps are registered from 27 states and two Canadian provinces.
Jeeps are coming from as far away as California, Texas and Florida.
The festival's registrations are 1,438 Jeeps, 35 percent higher than this time last year. In 2013, 1,068 registered before the festival, but 1,557 Jeeps eventually showed up there.
The Butler County Tourism & Convention Bureau says the Jeep festival attracts more visitors from outside the state than any other event in the county.
Visitors at the Bantam Jeep Heritage Festival can get an overall view of all the activities from a hot air balloon.Tethered rides will be available at select times each day with 100 percent of the proceeds benefiting VA Butler Healthcare's veteran programs. The balloon will give riders a chance to see the thousands of Jeep enthusiasts and Jeeps from a different point of view. The cost is $10 for adults and $5 for children younger than 12.Rides are scheduled from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday.Balloon activity times are subject to change and are weather permitting.
